1 Cup Butter
1 3/4 Cups Sugar ***
5 Cups Flour **
2 Eggs
2 tsp Almond extract
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking soda
1 Cup Sour cream
1 Cup Chopped almonds
1 tsp Cardamon

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Blend in almond extract. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Add chopped nuts.

Put in a 9x13 pan and pat down with moist hands. Bake 35 minutes at 325 to 350

Cut into individual pieces. Bake laid out until lightly browned and dried - 30 minutes to 1 hour.

**Gluten Free Alternative: Replace 5 Cups of flour with 4 cups of almond flour and 1 cup of coconut flour, and double eggs

***Lower Sugar Alternative: Reduce sugar to 3/8c to 1/2C of sugar. Other ingredients remain as stated
