1 C Butter
1/2 C sifted confectioner's sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 1/4 C Flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 finely chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work best)
Extra confectioner's sugar for rolling

aka Snowball cookies

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Stirr foulr and salt together, blend into butter mixture. Mix in nuts. Chill. Heat oven to 400. Roll dough into 1" balls and place on a ungreased cookie sheet (they do not spread). Bake 10-12 minutes or until set, but not brown. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool, roll in sugar again.
