Fwd: 1 1/4 c slivered blanched almonds
1 c butter, cut up
3/4 c powdered sugar
1/4 tsp almond extract
2 c flour
Additional confectioner's sugar(optional)
1. Preheat oven to 325F

Note or roll on powdered sugar while still warm, let cool and roll again.

Process almonds until ground, using short on/off pulses. Blen in butter until combined. Add 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar and almond extract. Add flour and process just until it forms a ball, using short on/off pulses. 2. Using level Tablespoonfuls, shape into pretzels, crescents, or balls. Place on ungreased pans about 2 imches apart. 3. Bake 20 to 25 minites or until bottoms are lightly browned. Remove to wire racks. Cool completely. Sift powdrered sugar over, if you like.
